Sometimes a PDF file is set to a non-standard size. When a print job is sent as a size other than 8 1/2 x 11, the printers have trouble with it.
Here's how to check what size paper is being sent to the printer:
If the PDF is open in Chrome, click Print, then More Settings then look at the paper size. If it is not set to 8 1/2 x 11, click the dropdown menu and change it.
If the PDF is in Adobe Reader, click Print, then Page Setup, then look at the paper size. If it is not set to 8 1/2 x 11, click the dropdown menu and change it.
