LibAnswers: Faculty Development

In order for your students to be able to access the electronic copy of your course's textbook, you must have enabled "Course Materials" in the Canvas course's navigation menu. To do so:

1. Sign in to Canvas
2. Click on your course's name to open it
3. Scroll to the bottom of the navigation menu and click Settings
4. Click the Navigation tab
5. All apps that are in the top box are enabled in your course; all apps that are in the bottom box are disabled in your course. 
6. Find "Course Materials" among the disabled apps at the bottom of the page and click the 3 dots next to its name. 
7. Click "Enable"
8. Save your changes at the bottom of the page. 
9. Repeat these steps for your other courses.
